The South Korean gaming company Krafton made a comeback in the Indian gaming market with its new Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). However, the government of India ordered Google Playstore as well as Apple Store.
According to a report published by the Government of India, the Krafton BGMI game has been banned by the Government of India under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act.
The act restricts access to any content that may threaten the integrity and sovereignty of the country. But what is catching people’s attention is the fact that the same act was used to justify the ban on PUBG.
Krafton has spoken about it and stated that they are “clarifying how BGMI was removed from Google Play store and the App Store.” However, they may have seen it coming as they have already created an APK File that lets everyone around the world download the game through the website directly.
Google, on the other hand, has stated:
“On receipt of the order, following established process, we have notified the affected developer and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India.”
The Government of India has made a public statement that states how they are determined to ensure that they are able to save the people from the wrongful effects of Cyber Crime.

The order also stated that the MeitY or Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology had issued the order to block BGMI from India.
