Google CEO Sundar Pichai decided to put an end to the conversations of Chat GPT being an end to Google Search by introducing Google Bard, a brand new Artificial Intelligence.this AI chatbot is meant to counterattack and rival the popular ChatGPT. On 6 February 2023, Pichai published on the official Google blog that they are ready to introduce Bard.
“Google’s announcement follows wide speculation that Microsoft is about to bring the AI chatbot ChatGPT to its search engine Bing, following a multi-billion dollar investment in the firm behind it, OpenAI,” BBC mentioned in an article.
In the announcement, Pichai mentioned that “Bard seeks to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our large language models. It draws on information from the web to provide fresh, high-quality responses. Bard can be an outlet for creativity, and a launchpad for curiosity, helping you to explain new discoveries from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope to a 9-year-old, or learn more about the best strikers in football right now, and then get drills to build your skills.”
In the blog titled, “An important next step on our AI journey,” Pichai also mentioned that they are planning to release it initially with their “lightweight model version of LaMDA.” The best part of this program is that it uses much less computing overt while allowing more and more feedback.
