Traditional LC connectors use a single-piece plastic that flexes the latching mechanism each time the connector is inserted and removed and eventually breaks, making them unsuitable for repeated use in testing. The Fluke Networks SRC9SCLCKITM Metal LC latching system uses a single-piece metal design with a spring located between the latch and connector body.
