To use the smart switch on your fireplace, you need to plug the connectors onto the connectors under your fire place. All our circuits are tested before shipping. Detailed instructions: We also have website with more help and videos. also see the images for additional help Step 1: Connect to wifi - do this before connecting to your fireplaceDownload the eWeLink App for the app store, create an account, click on Add and the Quick Pairing.Remove top cover from the smart switch box and insert power connection. The center light will slowly blink (this means it is not connected to the internet)Hold down the button by the flashing light (button 1 in images) for 7-10 seconds. the light will blink faster. Wait until the app says the smart plug and been found. You can now rename the smart switch calling it fireplace or whatever you want. There should be two lights on when connected and setup correctly. If not, press button 2 (marked in images) and 2nd light will come on. Both lights must be on for the fireplace to work correctly. In order for you to use the smart switch, connect the app to your Alexa App (or any smart home hub)For Alexa, open Alexa, click More, click skills, search eWeLink, Click eWeLink, Enable and log into account. TEST the circuit before installing. Use your voice to turn the switch on and off, For Millivolt direct connections:Connect the two wires to your millivolt or similar gas valve. the two connection you need are "TPTH" and "TH" See images for example. ELECTRONIC SPARK IGNITION SYSTEMS.Under your fireplace, find the wire that connects to your wall switch (usually a white wire). You will find wire connectors where you can pull the connection apart and disconnect it. (tip: they may be very stiff to disconnect, use pliers if to stiff) Connect the 2 included brass wire adapters to the two wires coming from the fireplace. this creates an extra connection for you. you can now connect the smart switch and regular switch to the fireplace wire. (see images) The TV xStream Smart switch is now ready. Once you plug in the power, it will auto connect to your wifi. Now your smart outlet will turn on and off your fireplace. IMPORTANT:(the switch will not work) If you turn on your fireplace with your voice, you will need to turn off the fire with your voice. (the voice command will not work) If you turn on the fireplace using the switch, you will need to turn off the fire using the switch.
